Father of the Year...at least in my book.

Today is fathers day, and I suppose it is a little different than the last. A little more meaningful to the both of us. Next year will be the big one so I guess this one is just breaking us in to realize that we are not just the gift givers but soon to be the honorees.

I found this pic of Austin and realize that it is one of my favs. He is at work, diggered out, and dirty as all get out. Before they got the dry set up at this job, he used to come home a mess and I would scream but then the next day would be the same. I think every once in a while he likes to take a break from sitting in a office and muck it up a bit, go play in the dirt and build something. I have to say that I am proud of the things he has created at work. He could design something and then go out and build it. Just like legos but for something that pumps water or holds the rock.

My fondest memories are of my sister and I, playing in the dirt and mud of the back yard or us taking that huge bucket of legos and building doll houses and such. I just hope that between the two of us, we can have our lil miss learn and hold on to the same. And may she never trick her little sibling to eat the mud like I did mine.

Happy Father's day.
