So Slack....

ok, so i look at the blog and realize it is has been ages since I blogged. How terrible. I will try to get photos up soon. The kids have been sick and NOT sleeping at all. That means I have not been sleeping. They are still sickish trying to kick the last bit of the cough from whatever they had. Erik is starting to cut teeth but they are the eye teeth. Who knows if they will decend all the way down or suck back up into the gums. Either way, he has been no fun.

My dear dear friend Emily came to visit me and put up with my crazy sick kids. Did she run? (we had a bet) but she was tough and hung in there for over a week! And she said she enjoyed them too ! Ha, Brave woman. No, my kids are usually pretty good and it was so fabulous that she came and I was able to visit like a adult and we were able to reconnect after not seeing each other for quite a while. It was very nice.

So march has come and gone and on to April. I am excited because my Mommy is coming for a visit. I already know it will be entirely too short but I need to see her and she needs to see these babies before they walk to kindergarden. (ha, well not that fast but they are almost six months!)

The boys are learning to sit up assisted and we are starting some solid food with them. Nothing is a big hit yet but we keep on trying just the same. They like to lay on the floor and roll around from left to right or vise versa and it is cute to watch. Erik loves to grab his toes and is easy to smile for anyone. Jason just looks around and observes what is going on, he likes to cross his ankles and does it all the time. They are both starting to really interact with Helen and smile with her. She talks to them and they make noise back. It is sweet. She loves to kiss them, hug them and play she is the mommy.

Helen is starting to talk in sentences. She tries to communicate all the time and always asks "duts dat?" (What's that?). She knows to "close the door" (I say it all the time) and she understand commands well. She can follow them most of the time. She likes to draw and color as of late. All the time, several times a day. She just scribles with crayons but it is important to her (and keeps her busy). She is starting to eat with a fork or spoon by herself. She still needs help but I usually just give her a dish and say have at it. She gives it all she can. She also likes to dip food. French Fries, pancakes, apples, you name it. There are some days she is jeleous of the attention and need some but for the most part I try to get some to each everyday.

Brag point: also as of late we have started a family schedule that has been working. Kids are in bed at 7 or 7:30 at night and then everyone wakes up about 7 the next day (the boys of course get up to eat at various times in the night but then it is right back to sleep so that ok). With the sickness, the schedule has not always worked but for the most part, all the kids like it and it gives me a little peace before bed.

So photos later. Soon. really, it is on my to do list (ha the mile long one)
