My Dad sent me a few pics that he took while in Sydney. So here they are.

A copy of the Ship Endevor which is the ship that Capt Cook came here on (He came from England to explore Australia for England, you can read about him here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_cook).

Lift that hat to get a good look.

Driving onto the Sydney Harbor Bridge, anyone got $3???

Helen making them right back at her...

A nice pic of Botany bay. This is where England first landed to set up the penal colony. (You can see it here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botany_Bay)

Back from the Dr.

I had my Dr appt on Thursday and I was actually able to let Helen stay at a Joanne's for the appt so I didn't have to wrangle her by myself while trying to talk to the Dr.(Austin just couldn't get the time off for this one but that is ok.)

Ok so now we have found out the reasoning behind the difference in size. The smaller one (twin b) has a higher blood pressure rate in his cord compared to his brother. That means that there is a tiny amount of resistance and less blood is getting from the placenta to him. Now, this is not enough to worry about but we do need to watch to make sure this does not get out of hand. Twin b is showing that he is growing well and he looks great from the scan.

We are going to have a scan again in one month to check sizes and make sure all is well again. The Dr mentioned that resting often will help increase blood flow to the babies and so that is my assignment. I need to try to rest for one hour during the day and then try to get a good night's sleep each night. If I can not sleep, resting on my side is just as effective.

Well Helen is just getting over a bit of the stomach bug but is starting to feel better. Here are some recent pics. She got a new handmade sweater from her "Mo and also a new quilt (Thank you!!).

Update about the Twins....

On Friday, we were back in Dubbo for some tests and an another Ultrasound. At the last ultrasound, twin a was measuring 2 almost 3 wks ahead in growth where as twin b was measuring right on target. Sometimes when twins are identical, one twin can hog the resources from the placenta and leave one smaller (almost like a runt of a litter, sorry but that was the only way I could think of to describe it). Anyways, the dr was not too worried as the smaller one was right on target for growth.

Well, in this scan twin a is measuring 31 wks (that is 3 wks ahead) where as twin b is right on target again. Because twin b has shown no abnomalities, and the cord is looking good, we are not too worried on why twin a is showing so big. We had to delay our Dr appt until next week because on Friday he was called on emergency to Labor and Delivery and was unable to make our appt. Hopefully on Thursday, we should find out the Dr's thoughts on our Mr big and see if we need to look into this further or just watch.

But all in all, both look great. It was funny because in the begining, when the tech was trying to get a fix on which twin part was what, all we could see on the screen was two heads and a mess of feet and hands. They were wiggling like mad and she had some trouble. Helen used to dance on the ultrasound, so like sister, like brothers. If there is anything new on Thursday, I will post here.

Trip to well, Sydney of course...

My parents came to visit us (mainly Helen) and instead of them driving all the way back to Sydney alone, we decided to make it into a little sight seeing trip for them and time together for us. Here are some of the pics, amazingly enough, we did not have alot of them, my mom and dad were the ones to get the pics and hopefully we see some copies.

On Helen's 11 month day (yes we are three weeks from her birthday..) we were at the beach in Manly. I love this beach. If you recall, she used to hate the sand and grass. Well she is getting better at grass, and as you can see, she actually likes the beach as well. No water because it was a bit breezy and it is winter here but you can see it was fun.

Austin and Helen are looking at these two little boys that were SCREAMING at the seagulls. They facinated her to watch them run around and then the birds fly about.

Everyone say "Cheese" Well one out of two ain't bad...

"What are those boys doing???"

Look, there is my dad, with the stroller. Just taking in the sights...

Helen's little sausage roll toes and the imprints in the sand...so cute.

Except for the wind, it was a lovely day for a stroll on the beach. The two boys there were the screamers.

Ok here is where it is backwards but just how the pics loaded up. We stopped in Dubbo before we were in Sydney/Manly but here is Helen being one with nature.

Daddy and Helen sitting on the grass in front of the Girafes.

So cute...

That pic right there makes me think Helen takes after her 'Mo. Austin thinks the same.

Taking a walk with mommy.

Some random pics...

Well we have been very busy here and I have been trying to keep up with Helen and my sleep (which is non-existant because either the twins (who constantly kick and move all night), helen, or my bladder gets me up like once an hour all night). Makes me crazy. So here is a bunch of catch up. Sad that I get to it now because Helen is asleep, Austin is away for work, and there is nothing but the Olympics on tv. Five channels and all five are playing the different events of the day. I am all for Michael Phelps and all but still, enough! Anyways.. her are some pics.

This is Helen out on her hourly rounds of the house. All day she just crawls around looking in the different rooms of the house like she is security and just making her rounds. Guess that is her job.

Helen at Lunch time. She loves her cheese and Vegemite sandwiches...

See? "Cheese!"

Just chillin on the couch watching tv. Actually she never sits still long enough for more than a pic but she likes to get on the couch every once in a while.

Mama and baby catching some zzzz. I find I have to nap with her to make it to the end of the day.

Rub a dub dub...helen in the tub. She loves her ducky and loves the bath.
This is Helen standing at the gate at the Kitchen. She loves to stand there when we are in the kitchen and see us working...
