Solids...again

You know, things come in waves. They really do. Again we found ourselves fighting with Helen about eating big people food. For a while, it was bottles bottles bottles. Well, last week like all of a freakin sudden, it is "I want to eat what you are eating too, mom/dad." Now, like every thing, we have to give her a taste, a bite, a smell, or she gets mad!

It surprises me that I say, "Time for breakfast", and she knows it is time to eat. She gets excited when I say that. We have tried lots of things with great success, like noodles, rice, oatmeal, chicken, veggies, fruit, and even some sweet things. I can't tell you just how happy I am that she wants to eat. No more closed lips, and no more crying in the high chair. She amazes me everyday and I am just so proud of her. Almost for her to say, "ok I can eat, what next?" Everyday is truly a delight.

Always some more...

This is Helen in her new sleeper. It is size 12 mos! amazing. Thank you Mo for all the warm clothing, I love them.

Yes she is standing but she did not get there on her own. She likes to stand and once put in that position, she will just love it. as you can see.

The Zoo in Dubbo

Well we were in Dubbo and you can't resist a good zoo, so we decided to go. It is rather large and has a wonderful variety of animals. Her are some of the pics as we took close to 70 of them. It was a wonderful day to go and I think we should love to go again.

Kangaroos

Emu

Koala

I love this sign.

Having fun with my little railroader...

Helen has been teething so sometimes smiles are in small amounts. She was in a good mood and I decided that I needed to cease the moment. So here are the hundreds of pics of her being her.

Hi there!

I got me a hat!

Boy, ain't I cute?

I am standing! (she was, propped against the couch)

Clothing with built in toys, yeah

Now, give me a K!

She is holding the two red triangles. She has this set of blocks that has two each of different shapes and colors. (i.e. purple stars, green squares, red triangles, etc) One day she was playing with her blocks and Austin came up and she had paired all of the like colors/shapes together. She often picks up the same shape blocks. Who knows what this means. I am not going to be one of those parents that claim that their child is a genius. I know she is smart but how smart? We can figure it out later.

Look Ma, I am jail! No just the pack n play.

Gimme a hug!

Can two fit? let me see....

Tada!

Here is a good one of me and her. And I took the pic!

S'more cutness of Home Slice.

Ok ok, I am in a posting mood. Here you go.

Ain't she cute!

Look maw, the splits!

She loves this cloth book. And sometimes she wears it like a purse. She will also grab my purse strap and put it over her arm like purse. Gotta be like mom, I guess.

Hey, who said this was ripe? (she loves to take a"bite" from whatever Austin and I are eating).

Touring about....

Well we have gone a few places. Over ANZAC weekend (like their memorial and veterans day), we went on this crazy driving trip to Lithgow. Well we went to Dubbo the first night, went to Lithgow to see the Small Arms museum, and was going to go to Ironfest (which is like a midevil festival with lots on early Iron working). Well Ironfest did not look that great so we go get lost in Sydney. Well not in Sydney, just in Parramatta, Penrith, and Manly. We got stuck on Manly (it is a penensula and there is one road in and out) and in search of a hotel, found Parramatta. Either way, it was great trip and enjoyed by all.

This is me and Helen at the beach in manly. It was so beautiful. I would love to go again.
This is Austin and Helen. She HATED to have her feet touch sand. We put her down to stand on the beach and she screamed bloody murder. Then we walked to the water edge and she saw that wave coming and screamed the loudest cry I have ever heard. Might be a while before we are beach goers.
Ha ha, it is fall here! And it is the end of April in the pic. Don't you love the colors? The drive from Sydney to say Dubbo is just lovely.

We went to the tourist information center in Cobar and they have a lovely little museum about Cobar, Mining, and olden times. Here is Austin checking our new car, a Nissan X-trail.

This is Austin in front of the big COBAR sign. It is put on the back of the old mining area just on the edge of town.
Austin driving on the other side of the car.
Inside the Tourist center, they converted the basement to look like a old underground mine. Here is me and Helen.
Next we drove out to Devils Rock which is like 5 min from cobar. it is supposed evil place by the natives. Anyways, it was not that bad. It is out by Oldey Reservoir (we live by Newey Reservoir (no, I did not make this up, old and new). Anyways. Here are some more pics.

Gimme s'more of Helen...

At least that is what I hear from all the family. Ok, here are some pics for you.

When I make the bed in the morning, I put her at the head and fluff the sheets and blankets over her head and then tuck her in. She love it. So here she is sitting after the bed is made.

Speaking of new beds and things, this is her new furnature. Here changing table....

And crib...

Crib plus baby!

This is her and her teething rusks. She loves to to gnaw away on these things.

Austin is here teaching her to play on the computer.

Just sitting lookin cute with daddy.

Monkeying around while dad watches the telly.
