Shopping at the Mayan Market

I went to the little art market that is in Zona 13 today. That is not the big one in the city but they usually recommend that we get a security driver for going there. Not the safest place to be. So, we had a good time and did a little shopping. One of the ladies leaves for the US next week and needed to get things for all here kiddies (grandkids).

Here is a pic of the quetzal bird. I think I want to get a few more for the baby's room, maybe a quetzal bird themed nursery. Very beautiful. There were so many to choose from, i could have bought 3 or 4 more but was out of moolah.

I bought an official mayan wrap. This was better design than what I have seen and it was a decent price. I figure that I need to get something until I find what i want.

This is me wearing the wrap.

I bought a little dress with a hat, soo cute.

This dress has a woven top and is just so cute. muy bonita!!!!!

See, right back to the baby blog. Hahaha. Anyways, I have my hospital bag already packed and ready to go. Austin and I discussed and agree that being we have 7 weeks left or so, we better be ready. So I got the last minute stuff yesterday and need to pick up a phone card for more minutes, just in case. We plan on calling everyone from the hospital and calls are fairly cheap with the cell phone.

I can not believe we are getting this close. ahhhhhhh!!!!

Harry potter...

I was concerned that this is becoming a baby blog, but maybe that is what it will be when she is here. Oh well, other topics...

I just bought book number seven in English!! On Saturday!!! I was really surprised to see it in stores but there it was and so we bought it. I am reading it now...nice to have a little piece of home.

Also, we might go see the movie in English. We purchased a copy in spanish on the black market but I might just drag Austin when he comes home. It would be nice to have our own theater experience. We also saw quatro fantasticos dos (the fantastic 4, number 2). I was a little lost but I did not see number one. maybe I should do that sometime.

Oh and here is a pic of me for good measure. My tummy seems to grow everyday and she is getting more fiesty. She moves a lot (looks like a pig under a blanket) and while reading today, she kicked the book off my tummy, so much for the shelf. (see, it is a baby blog again...I need a new hobby..)

Me at 30 wks (eeekkkk!!!!)

Are we ready???

That seems to be the question in my mind. Sunday we had our class, learned how to push (just what we are supposed to do) and how to breath when we are not supposed to push. Then we have two classes left. One on Breastfeeding and one baby care, i.e. changing diapers, bathing. etc. Holy freaking cow, is it really that close??? I think that we have 8 wks left and suddenly I am scambling, are we ready??? It is one thing to have stuff, diapers, clothing etc but are we really ready?? I think we are, even thought I may not feel like it. Our child has more than what we moved down here with and hopefully that is enough...
Here are some pics of the latest purchases...This was a recommendation from our lamaze teacher, said she has one with her kids and used it all the time. It is a changing table/bathtub. Better than the little changing pad that came with the pack n play..

Here is the bassinet/pack n play, ready and made up with blankets, sheets, and sleep positioner.

The bottom shelves of the changing table, all full of clothing, diapers, ready to go.

We bought some bottles too. Dr. Browns comes highly recommend from parenting sites, so we will give this a try.

Shopping...

Well it is taken forever to post this one. Not sure why...busy maybe...or just feel like I can't concentrate these days. I finally went shopping a bit and got some stuff for me and for lil miss.

I found this outlet store and got a few shirts. I was surprised because I am a size smaller than I used to be...boy does that feel good.

This is cute go outside shirt.

This is a stay in bed shirt. Good thing my Pjs are still fitting...

Austin picked this out for lil miss. It is onsie/jacket with pants and hat and booties. Very cute.

Here is a little shirt I picked up....too cute.

This is an outfist we got from some friends, boy am I going to have fun dressing her up in this.

I bought some dresses too for me. Pants are getting unconfortable and soon will be banished I think. Oh the joys of pregnancy...

Packed...Almost

Almost all packed. Moving again. Hard to believe that most of our belongings fit in these two pics. Except for the bathroom and kitchen, we are done!!! Yeah!!

Tub of Misc. Stuff, most office/books.

Clothing, baby stuff, and yes, that is a trash bag full of hangers...I guess old habits die hard.

I would imagine that I have about two or three more boxes of stuff and then we are done!!! Good thing we don't have to move the furniture...

It Hailed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago, Austin told me it was hailing at the mine. Yeah, right, here? So when it hailed here yesterday, I was glued to the window like a little kid. Kind of reminded me of Northern Nevada. Since with my body clock, we have been here about six months and now, in my mind, fall and winter should come next. I am all kind of messed up. Summer all the time.

Here the rain going away.....

This is the pic I took while hailing....can you see it?

The weather never ceases to amaze me here.
